It is common to compare yourself to others and make
judgments about who you are and what you have accomplished. If you find
yourself not feeling good about yourself when you make these
comparisons, you need to explore where and when this tendency developed.
Parents often make comparisons about their children. Bosses make
comparisons about employees. If you experienced these comparisons and
felt bad or inappropriate, you may be continuing this pattern in your
life without questioning if your comparison has any truth.
